There are lots of interesting new tools and projects coming out all the time. We picked some of the most interesting and are putting them on in Lightning Talk format. Each speaker gets 8 minutes, so it's fast, energetic, and full of useful information.
Barb White will talk about tools to make the most of Twitter: Twitter's growth in 2009 was phenomenal. Are you getting buried in tweets and followers? A look at some of the cool, free tools available to keep you organized, informed, and have fun.
Zak Greant will talk about Mozilla Drumbeat: Mozilla Drumbeat is a project to foster a vibrant online community focused on practical projects that help people improve and take control of their internet lives. The pilot projects in development include OpenWeb Career Track, an open curriculum for web developers, and StopBadware Stories, a project to help raise awareness of the effects of viruses and software through stories about how they affect individuals. This lightning talk will give a quick overview of drumbeat, highlight a few of the projects and tell you how you can get involved.
Jean-Noël Rivasseau will show Kameleoon, a revolutionary web design tool that can change the appearance of any of your websites. Kameleoon creates a toolbar directly on the website, and using this interface, the design can be instantly modified and visualized. No deployment is needed.
We focus only on the design in order to do that very well, so we are not a website builder; instead we integrate ultra easily into any existing web solution and instantly add design authoring capabilities to it. This means we work very well with a premade template; pick a template, then further customize it with Kameleoon!
In this talk I will present a new way to design a site or blog with Kameleoon. There will be a live demo where we go from a basic WordPress template to a better looking one in a couple of minutes.

Hi! I'm Zak and I'm tired of writing about myself in the third person. I'm a strategist and technologist who's fascinated with how communication, communication technologies and community structures - from language, writing and tribes all the way up to software, the net and open source - shape us. I've been an active participant in key electronic frontier projects, including stints with the Free Software Foundation, the Mozilla Foundation, MySQL AB, the Open Source Initiative and the PHP project. My current focus is on LexPublica (http://lexpubli.ca), a project to open-source the law.
Jean-Noël writes: I am a French entrepreneur holding two Msc in Computer Science, the first from Ecole Polytechnique, France and the second from UBC, Vancouver, Canada.
In 2008 I founded Shoopz, a privately funded French tech startup. Our flagship product is Kameleoon, a online web design tool which has been in development for 18 monthes from late 2008 and was just released in March 2010th.
I am currently the CEO of Shoopz and residing in Vancouver, BC to market our product in North America.
