We're kicking off the planning for Northern Voice in May 2011, and we want YOU!
We need several new volunteers to help out with the planning, to bring and execute some fresh ideas, and to work together with existing organizers put on another sensational conference.
Our kick off planning meeting will be Wednesday, November 10, at 5 p.m. at the offices of Left Right Minds, and if you've ever wanted to join up, this is your chance. You should RSVP if you are a new colunteer, so we can get a count.
New (and existing!) organizers will be expected to take on one or more defined areas of responsibility, and be ready to give a significant number of hours between now and the event. There's no limit to your involvement here; we're not just looking for interns.
Ask any of the existing or previous volunteers: this conference is one of the funnest and easiest to organize, and the rewards are significant! Don't just be a logo on the T-shirt (though you'll get that, too) -- be part of the best blogging and social media conference around.
Where: #406 - 857 Beatty Street
When: Wednesday, November 10, at 5 p.m.
Who: You

Hi there. My name is Lindsay Dianne and I'm a local photographer. I'm wondering if the Northern Voice conference needs photographers, and if you do if you could please contact me at lindsay@runningscared.ca I would be appreciative. Thanks.
Volunteer for NorthernVoice
Hello,
I'm interested in volunteering for the upcoming Northern Voice conference in May but missed the November 10th meeting. Do you still need people to help with the conference.
I have experience in Business marketing, training and most recently career development working as an employment counsellor at Back in Motion Skills Connect for Immigrants.
I have a solid foundation in Social Media concept and enjoy how Social Media is being used to connect people, ideas and business through networking online. I currently facilitate workshops to New Canadians on how to use Linkedin and Twitter as a piece of their job search and have been having some success at finding them placements through social media marketing.
I would hope to bring some fresh ideas to your team and in general it just sounds like fun.
You can contact me @mattoliver 604.230.1875 or at the email provided.
Thanks
Matt Oliver

Northern Voice 2011
Hi all,
I didn't make it to the meeting, but I posted on Twitter suggesting that people join the committee. I am already overcommitted with co-organizing Mental Health Camp Vancouver 2011 with Isabella Mori, but if I can be of any help connecting people, I'm more than happy to do so.
